Friday 10th December 2021  – Change of Covid Restrictions

We would like to assure you, our clients and local communities, that the safety and wellbeing of the families we serve and that of our staff is of paramount importance to us in these uncertain times.

Our premises have always been cleaned to a high standard, however we have increased the frequency of cleaning and ensured particular care is taken when cleaning door handles. Alcohol hand sanitiser is provided as you enter our premises, please use the facilities provided.

Procedures to deal with the impact of COVID-19 are constantly being updated and we will ensure that whilst following advice and guidance from our trade associations and local authorities we will provide the same care to our families.

Whilst working within Public Health England guidelines, we must also follow the procedures set by Crematoria, Burial Authorities and various Churches.

On Monday 19th July 2021 restrictions were lifted with most crematoria and venues returning to normal capacity.

From Friday 10th December 2021 people attending funerals are required to do two things:

  • Wear a facemask unless you are medically exempt.
  • Do a lateral flow test before attending.

Please note if you test positive you may come out of isolation to attend a funeral.

All venues are entitled to have their own rules & regulations. Please talk to your funeral director for the rules and regulations at a specific venue.

Our procedures:

You must wear a facemask when entering our premises unless you are medically exempt.

Funeral arrangements can be made at our premises, at your home address, via video link or over the telephone, whichever you feel most comfortable with. When arrangements are made over the phone or video link the signing of forms can take place at our office, by post or electronically.

Viewing at our Chapel of Rest is by appointment only, but you are welcome to come with family and friends with numbers unrestricted within reason.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our clients for their understanding throughout the last 16 months.
